Set along the shimmering Mediterranean, Barcelona beckons travelers with its hidden courtyards of Barri Gòtic and bustling local markets like La Boqueria Market. In the capital city of Madrid, locals revel in the centuries-old sport of bullfighting then hop from one tapas bar to the next, feasting late into the night. Choose from endless city museums housing world-class treasures from the likes of Picasso, Dali and Goya. Your final destination on this tour is the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Day 1: Barcelona

Meet your driver for a private airport transfer in Barcelona. Please note drivers may or may not speak English, as their sole responsibility is to transfer clients from one location to another.

For your added comfort, we will have an English speaking assistant waiting for you at the hotel lobby. Your representative will help you to check in and walk you through the welcome package documents.

A welcome package with a city map, train tickets (if relevant), and any other touristic information that we deem you may find useful will be waiting for you upon your arrival at your first hotel on your trip.

Day 2: Barcelona

Your private English-speaking guide will show you the central highlights of Barcelona. If you are interested in a certain era in history or have an interest in a particular artist, let your Sales consultant know in advance so we can tailor your tour or enjoy some culinary delights with a gastronomy tour.

Day 3: Barcelona

Enjoy a morning half day shared guided tour in a fully equipped coach to Montserrat Monastery and mountain. After driving through picturesque little villages you will arrive at the mountain of Montserrat, which measures a majestically 4,051 feet (1,235 meters). Next, visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, which holds the famous 12th century Romanesque carving of Virgen Moreneta, the Black Virgin. The Royal Basilica has been one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Spain for hundreds of years. On some days the children's choir sings in the monastery at midday, and so you may be fortunate enough to catch one of their delightful performances. Your tour includes a taste of 4 typical liquors of Montserrat and entrance to Audiovisual “Montserrat Portes Endins”.

Day 4: Barcelona - Madrid

You will see churches, convents, inns, palaces, theaters, narrow medieval streets and traditional shops, all steeped in history that no visitor should miss. Discover the city’s key sights like Puerta del Sol that has been the bustling heart of Madrid since the 17th century, Calle Mayor, Plaza Mayor, a porticoed square that will take you back to the times of swashbuckling swordsmen and medieval rogues, Arco and Calle Cuchilleros where you will find centuries-old taverns dug into caves under the square, Plaza de la Villa with excellent examples of Spanish architecture, the impressive Royal Palace which is Western Europe’s largest palace and the elegant Plaza de Oriente, lined by gardens and grand statues of Spain’s early rulers.a. Day 5: Madrid - Toledo

Enjoy your day trip to Toledo by train. The train ride takes only 33 minutes one-way.

Enjoy a half-day walking tour through the streets of Toledo and learn the history of this UNESCO heritage site.

"Holy Toledo" isn't just an expression! A unique and richly diverse city, Toledo features Arab, Jewish, Christian, and even Roman and Visigothic elements. A beloved national landmark, the Toledo that so inspired El Greco in the 16th century has remained relatively unchanged since his time. Old churches and houses fill the city, where you can still stroll through streets barely wide enough for a man and his donkey, let alone an automobile. (No entrance fees included.)

Day 6: Madrid - Lisbon

Day 7: Lisbon

With a private guide and driver, discover the wonderful city of Lisbon on this half-day tour. Visit the heart of the city, Rossio Square, then spend some time in Alfama, the Old Quarter. See the Lisbon Cathedral, and then walk up to St. George’s Castle, where you will pass by the Roman Theatre Ruins. You will then depart to Belém, the city's most monumental and historical area where you will visit the Patrimony of Mankind Jerónimos Monastery, and Belém Tower. Enjoy a short stop at the Monument to the Discoveries before a transfer back to your hotel. No entrance fees included.

Day 8: Lisbon

Explore these traditional Portuguese towns starting at the door of your hotel. You will drive straight to Sintra where hundreds of years of history and culture await. Doing a short walk in the old city centre, find yourself surrounded by the old houses that are now converted into small quaint handicraft shops and traditional pastry shops. Continue on to the Pena Palace. Driving around the mountain, pass by amazing chalets and aristocratic residences. As you reach the 19th century Pena Palace, notice the most incredible combination of architectural styles, colors and shapes. After browsing through hundreds of years of history it will be time to relax by driving to the town of Cascais. Once a small fishing village, this town managed to maintain its seafaring traditions combined with the aristocratic and royal presences of the late 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Passing through its animated town centre you’ll find the cosmopolitan life side by side with the Atlantic. The return to Lisbon will follow a very special road named “Marginal”. It runs parallel to the white sandy beaches and amazing 17th century fortresses starting at the town of Estoril.
