Next, visit the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, honoring Ghana’s first president. Explore his mausoleum, museum, residence, and the Eternal Flame of African Liberation. You will finish the tour at the Arts Center, where you can shop for textiles, crafts, and local goods from across Ghana and West Africa.

Return to the hotel to freshen up before heading to MIDUNU House for dinner. Enjoy a dining experience that celebrates Africa’s culinary heritage, with a focus on sustainable, local ingredients and delicious handcrafted chocolate truffles. (B, D)

Wednesday, March 4 | Ghana Food Movement Culinary Experience

After breakfast at the hotel, set out on a culinary adventure with the Ghana Food Movement. Begin with a guided tour through some of Accra’s vibrant markets — including Nima Spice Market, Kantamanto Food Market, and Osu Night Market — alongside a local chef. Discover traditional ingredients, sample street food, and shop for fresh produce.

Then, head to The Kitchen, Ghana Food Movement’s culinary hub, where you’ll take part in a hands-on cooking class. Prepare a traditional Ghanaian dish or a locally inspired fusion recipe, tailored to your taste, using the ingredients you’ve sourced. Enjoy the meal you've helped create and experience the journey from market to table.

Afterwards, return to your hotel for the evening. (B, L)

Thursday, March 5 | Torgorme Village Living Heritage Ceremony

Enjoy a full day at the beach, or after breakfast, travel to a scenic village along the lower Volta River. There, you'll be welcomed by the chief and elders with traditional drumming and dancing, and take part in a naming ceremony where each participant receives a Ghanaian name and a small gift as a symbol of belonging to the community. After lunch on your own, return to Accra and unwind at Labadi Beach.

Tonight’s dinner is hosted by Chef Ruby, whose culinary creations are inspired by childhood memories in the kitchen with her grandmother. Her passion for cooking was sparked at an early age and nurtured through over 30 years of professional experience. Chef Ruby’s dinners are more than meals — they’re heartfelt experiences rooted in tradition, storytelling, and the joy of sharing food. (B, D)

Friday, March 6 | Cocoa & Chocolate Industry – Travel to Kumasi

Depart Accra this morning for Suhum and delve into the fascinating journey of cocoa, from bean to bar. Begin with a warm welcome and an introduction to cocoa cultivation and processing. After lunch on your own, continue on to Kumasi, capital of the Ashanti Kingdom, where you will check into your hotel for the night. (B)

Saturday, March 7 | Ashanti Craft Villages & Chef Castro’s Home

Begin your day with a visit to three famous Ashanti craft villages: Ahwiaa, the wood carvers’ village, Ntonso, the home of Adinkra cloth, and Bonwire, the Kente weaving village. Afterwards, visit and enjoy the rest of the day at Chef Castro's home for a home-cooked dinner. (B, D)

Sunday, March 8 | Kakum Rain Forest & Elmina

This morning, you will check out of your hotel and set off for Cape Coast. On the way, stop at Kakum National Park, one of West Africa's last remaining tropical rainforests. Choose to either embark on a 2 km nature walk through the lush rainforest, discovering a variety of exotic flora and fauna and learning about their medicinal properties, or enjoy a thrilling walk on the canopy walkway, suspended 40 meters above the forest floor for a bird’s-eye view of the lush surroundings.

Continue your journey to Elmina, where you'll check into your hotel for the evening. (B, L)

Monday, March 9 | Cape Coast Castle & Culinary Workshop

Today, you will visit the Global Mamas Cultural Workshop. Step into Auntie Esi’s kitchen to explore the fragrant and vibrant flavours of West African cuisine. Esi will guide you through creating authentic Ghanaian dishes using traditional African cooking techniques. You’ll prepare popular dishes like Jollof Rice, fried plantain, and red red, then enjoy the delicious feast you've helped create.

Next, embark on a tour of Ghana’s historic Forts, Castles, and Slave Dungeons, where the harrowing history of the trans-Atlantic slave trade comes to life. Visit Cape Coast Castle, originally built by the Swedes in 1653 and later controlled by the British. Learn about the complex relationships between African tribes and Western slave traders, and experience the grim conditions in the dungeons where millions of Africans were once held. The castle also houses the West African Historical Museum, further deepening your understanding of this poignant history. (B, L)
