South Africa is a destination that is on almost everyone’s travel list. This amazing journey begins in Cape Town, one of Africa’s most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities. We start touring in and around Cape Town, the Atlantic Seaboard, the Cape of Good Hope, enjoy the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden at its peak, tour a township to deepen our understanding of the contemporary history of South Africa, visit some wonderful galleries, have a private talk with the former warder of the late Nelson Mandela, Mr. Christo Brand and enjoy some leisure time and optional Capetonian activities that will be organized on a few evenings. It is then off to the lesser travelled Cederberg Mountains for a luxurious lodge stay in a breathtaking environment where we will visit a world famous rock art trail and a rooibos farm to learn about this traditional drink. Next stop is the Winelands where we will stay at a small and beautiful Sir Richard Branson resort (Franschhoek) and the quirky but delightful Oude Werf hotel (Stellenbosch). We will enjoy winery visits, wine tastings, exploring a respected re-wilding facility for cheetahs, and enjoy many highlights through this region. And, just when you think it is not possible to do or see more we will transfer to Cape Town International Airport to fly into the safari lands and experience a three- night luxury experience seeking out the Big 5 (lions, leopards, rhino, buffalo, and elephants) + 2 (cheetahs and painted wolves). And then it is homeward or onward bound.
