Meet your instructor at 9am downtown Victoria.
Take a deep breath. During these wild times, there are amazing tales of purpose and dedication, opportunities that lead to discovery and understanding, and a natural world that continues to astound us. For the novice and intermediate artist, observation in this sense is extraordinarily vital.
On this photo walkabout, we’ll scout with our eyes and cameras to examine the layers organizing the elements of a vast space to create scale and graphic interest. While you do not have to be an expert to make good photographs, you do have to realize the critical difference between looking and seeing, and how to develop a natural eye towards making expressive images.
A walkabout as much about how to find and approach different subjects as about camera
settings, whether produced with a smartphone or the latest DSLR camera. Once you've
caught hold of the basic skills for creating compelling images, there is no limit to what
you can do next with your photography. There is no substitute for making lots of pictures,
and few other things are as much fun!
