The Azamara Onward’s maiden voyage begins in beautiful Monte Carlo, Monaco, before arriving in Livorno the following day for an overnight stay. This is the perfect opportunity to explore Florence and Pisa. Art, architecture, and Tuscan cuisine await in these two jewels of the Tuscany region, as well as landmarks like the Duomo Cathedral and the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

La Dolce Vita continues next with a late-night stay in Rome. More than 3000 years of history springs to life in this legendary city that’s home to artistic treasures, a thriving gastronomy scene, and ancient wonders worthy of any dream vacation. From here, it’s off to the cliffside town of Sorrento for another late-night stay. Here, be sure to sample a dish of gnocchi alla sorrentina (gnocchi served in tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella) — a tasty favorite of locals.

Sun-kissed Amalfi is next on the itinerary, followed by a relaxing day cruising aboard your boutique hotel at sea. Making our way across the water, we’ll arrive in Montenegro to explore captivating Kotor. While here, be sure to stroll through its impeccably preserved medieval Old Town. Then, it’s back to Italy for a late-night stay in Ancona, where you can explore Grotte di Frasassi — a geographical gem of La Marsh and one of the most extensive cave systems in Europe.

Foodie’s will love our next stop, Bologna. Nicknamed La Grassa (literally meaning “The fat one”), Bologna is known for its lauded lasagna, which you’ll want to follow up with a sensational serving of gelato. You’ll have plenty of time to indulge in the dining scene here, thanks to our late-night stay.

The Azamara Onward’s maiden voyage then concludes with an overnight stay in Venice. Take an evening stroll along the canals in this city that defies conventions at every turn before enjoying a day taking in the epic architecture of this romantic floating city.

Azamara sweetened the offer by throwing in an additional $300 to $500 onboard credit on top of the already fabulous $500 onboard credit and premium beverage package for two when booking an oceanview or higher! They have also given our group a reduced deposit!

This incredible offer is only valid until October 31st!

Day 1: Monte-Carlo – Monaco

You don’t need luck on your side to have an unforgettable time in Monte Carlo! Home to the legendary Grand Casino and the opulent Royal Palace, Monte Carlo lives up to its reputation in every way. Stroll among luxury yachts at Port Hercules and soak in sweeping Med views from The Rock—a towering outcrop the royals of Monaco call home.

Day 2-3: Livorno – (Florence & Pisa), Italy

The port city of Livorno has many charms of its own: the canals of La Venezia Nuova (New Venice), which date back to the Medici era, the Mercato Centrale, and the chessboard-style Terrazza Mascagni promenade, to name a few. But Livorno is also the gateway to the magnificent art and architecture, palaces, churches and museums of Florence, as well as Pisa’s famous leaning tower. Decisions, decisions!

Day 4: Civitavecchia – (Rome), Italy

Always enchanting, the Eternal City will captivate you—no matter how many times you visit. Walk in the steps of gladiators at the Coliseum, channel your inner statesman at the Forum, or gaze up in wonder at Michelangelo’s masterwork at St. Peter’s Basilica. Pasta and vino are a must, and there are plenty of places to relax and refuel after a day of exploration.

Day 5: Sorrento – Italy

Looking out from Sorrento is the isle of Capri. The island is divided into two main parts, Capri and Anacapri. Capri is full of Italian luxury, with designer stores and five-star hotels lining the streets, while Anacapri is slightly more down-to-earth. Take a relaxing chair lift ride to the very top of the island, as the views are jaw-dropping.

Day 6: Amalfi – Italy

Live it up in the land of limoncello. Perched on one of the world’s most stunning coastlines, Amalfi delivers a true Italian experience. Discover unique shops and galleries, take a thrilling cliff side drive, or stay close to the shore and live la dolce vita.

Day 7: At Sea

Spend the day sailing in style aboard your boutique hotel at sea. Indulge in a treatment at Sanctum Spa, stay ship shape with a class at our fitness center, or lounge the day away on our sunny pool deck. In the evening, savor inspired Italian cuisine at Aqualina, or relish in a classic steakhouse experience at Prime C. Plus, you’ll find plenty of exciting evening entertainment, from thrilling shows at Cabaret Lounge to intimate performances in the Living Room.

Day 8: Kotor – Montenegro

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kotor is filled with churches, shops, bars, restaurants, and hidden piazzas. (The latter are perfect for enjoying Montenegrin wines like the red Vranac or dry white Krstač.) The entire city is surrounded by stone, both in the form of imposing Mount Saint John and by towering ancient walls, creating a cozy feeling of protection when you walk the cobblestone streets.

Day 9: Ancona – Italy

A beacon on the shores of the Adriatic Sea, Ancona is a city steeped in over 2,400 years of history. On Azamara’s cruises to Italy, walk beneath Ancona’s towering marble Arco di Traiano, tour the Ancona Cathedral—built high above Old Town atop an ancient Roman temple—and explore millennia of human history at Marche National Archaeological Museum.

Day 10: Ravenna – Italy

Dubbed “The Mosaic City”, Ravenna is best known for its churches, which date back 1,500 years and are decorated with stunning, multicolored Byzantine mosaics. In Ravenna, you can visit Dante’s tomb, or tour the grounds of the Azienda Agricola Vignato Virgilio winery then reward yourself for a day of sightseeing with a glass of crisp gambellara or a rich cabernet. Cin cin!

Day 11-12: Venice -Italy
Experience Venice, one of the most captivating—and romantic—cities in the world. Tour the city’s cobblestone streets and overarching bridges, or take to the water and explore the canals on a water taxi or gondola. As you make your way through the city, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to shop, sample delicious Veneto wines, or people watch in Piazza San Marco.
